Karnataka Govt.’s IT/BT dept rechristened itself as Dept. of Innovation and Technology (#DoIT) on 1st March. It was an honor to join Minister Priyank Kharge and Principal Secy Gaurav Gupta, IAS to unveil a new logo as part of #InnovateKarnataka launch in Bengaluru. Innovation thrust on inclusive growth, IP framework, #KarnatakaInnovationAuthority (under CM) formation are key pillars. As chief guest, I highlighted how digital technologies are converging and cross-domain tech collectively are building creative solutions (#cyberphysical sys, #blockchain in governance, #AI aiding #IoT..). The need for bringing technologies under one umbrella and creating a few #CoE has been quite evident. Also, Govt. initiatives like #YuvaYuga skilling, #BengaluruTechSummit, New Age Incubation Network (#NAIN) , #Elevate100 with startup funding are pivotal for Karnataka’s vision towards sustained technology leadership.
