Amalthea, a Greek mythological character, is event-named by #IIT-Gandhinagar for its student #TechFest. Director Sudhir Jain, after inaugurating #Amalthea’18, explained how this relatively-new IIT is keeping students at its forefront in every aspect.
My keynote was on ‘Intelligent #Things, Enriched #Data’. In connected world, things are becoming intelligent at device level with secure, easy configuration. And then feature and context level intelligence make even multiple devices talk to each other in meaningful way. Simultaneously, methods are being developed to enrich data for personalization as well as statistical decision-making involving these devices.
Also, we spent some time in weekend to appreciate #Ahmedabad as a #UNESCO World Heritage site: visited Sabarmati Ashram to Akshardham temple, Adalaj stepwell to Kankaria lake. Thanks Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar for great hospitality!
